Design Notes
IPTG removes the LAC repressor from LacI+pL site and induces promoter for LacI+pL site. This leads to high levels of YFP transcription. Hydrogen turns on the HybB promoter and LAC repressor is transcribed. The LAC repressor competitively inhibits the LacI+pL site, leading to decreased YFP transcription.
